Artwork is presented uncropped and without text covering it. The story supports the art; it never replaces it.
Journeys of Israel
Journeys of Israel · When heritage lights up
Journeys of Israel comes alive through light. When illuminated, details that seemed quiet by day become a presence in the room. The piece is a reminder that heritage does not have to remain in a book or museum; it can live inside the home.
Fiery oranges and reds frame a mapped journey of places and encampments from the Exodus narrative. Names visible in the work include Rameses, Succoth, Etham, Marah, Elim, Mount Sinai, and Rephidim, surrounded by imagery of the camp and the wilderness. The title “As They Camped, So They Traveled” draws on Numbers 2:17, while the itinerary recalls Numbers 33. Warm colors convey the movement and intensity of the journey. The exact sequence of stops on the artwork should be checked against the biblical itinerary before final publication. Backlighting can bring the colors and outlines into focus. Product format and specifications require confirmation.
