The story behind the artwork
Shimon · A story shaped by light
The Shimon stained-glass work changes with the light throughout the day. Its color and symbol speak of voice, listening, and belonging, allowing the story to become part of the room itself.
A fortified-city or gateway-like form, adorned with flags, stars, and dense ornament, rises against vivid green. The artwork honors Simeon, a tribe whose biblical story includes questions of family, strength, and responsibility (Genesis 49:5–7). Green brings a sense of land and renewal, while white reveals intricate craftsmanship. No specific city or historical gateway is claimed without confirmation from the artist. The Land of Israel is a shared motif throughout the Tribes collection. The stained-glass palette is an artistic choice, not the colors of the High Priest’s breastplate.
