The story behind the artwork
The Mishkan · A story shaped by light
The Mishkan tells of a place built to make room for presence. In its lines, light, and color is a longing for the moment when material, art, and holiness meet.
The Tabernacle stands at the center of a densely detailed design, bringing together the sanctuary, its courtyard, and ritual furnishings. Near the base, an altar with rising flames is clearly visible, alongside Hebrew labels identifying the courtyard and sanctuary. Exodus 25–40 describes the building of the Tabernacle as a sacred dwelling among the people of Israel. Red and orange evoke the altar fire, while sharply defined white details reward patient viewing. This is an artistic representation, not a measured architectural reconstruction.
